About Us

Who Are We?

Twin sisters that have shared a lifelong passion for teaching. Together we have homeschooled and taught children from the ages of birth through college. Our goal is to help teachers (both formal and mom teachers) by sharing ideas that will help in the classroom as well as the homefront. We want to be an encouragement to all teachers that work so hard to help kids develop a  lifelong love for learning.  

Melissa Jenkins

Melissa Jenkins holds a Masters Degree in Education and is currently working as a classroom teacher for children with special needs in elementary school. She has taught babies who are Deaf/Hard of Hearing through college age. She spent years at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock in the College of Education, focusing on teaching future educators. She homeschooled her own children off and on as she and her husband moved around the country thanks to his military career.

Kathy Lawson

Kathy Lawson holds a Bachelor's Degree in Education and amazingly grew her little homeschool of two children to a co-op with over 100 students! She has also taught pre-school, public, and private school as well. Her years of experience has allowed her to gather many innovative ideas and tools of the trade that help make this curriculum so unique!

P.R.I.M.E. It's What We Do

Pure - Our teaching technique is not hidden in fluff. The outcome is pure - we give specific instructions on how to reach the goals.

Researched-Based - Our teaching techniques are grounded in recent and peer-reviewed research. Science of reading is our backbone for literacy. Check the research tab for more information.

Intentional - What we teach is not by accident. We are intentional in the way we go about the very serious job of instruction. One example...our math counting cards do not simply have pictures for your child to count. There is intention behind the way we structure even that small detail.

Multi-Layered - Much of our instruction covers more than one simple skill. Perhaps we include reading with shapes, or rhymes with ordinals. We give the most bang for the buck possible!

Effective - Using this technique has been shown to increase scores to triple the expectation!
